Mr. Jamieson began his family law practice assertively representing men in divorce cases. In the mid 1980's, child abuse allegations in the context of divorce cases and in other areas of litigation increased dramatically. At the same time, Charles D. Jamieson began an active practice representing individuals accused of child abuse and neglect in criminal, family, and juvenile court cases. Mr. Jamieson believes in proactive, assertive representation for his clients in both divorce work and child abuse and neglect defenses. He participates extensively in continuing education in the various aspects of family law within the state of Florida. Mr. Jamieson has presented at seminars on divorce related issues and has presented at seminars in Florida, South Carolina, and other states concerning child abuse and neglect issues.
Charles D. Jamieson graduated from Dartmouth College in 1975, magna cum laude, and Mr. Jamieson graduated from the University of Maine School of Law in 1978. In law school, Mr. Jamieson was very active in advocacy issues and served as the co-chairman of the Moot Court Board and was successful in arguing legal issues in intermural and international moot court contests. Mr. Jamieson has been practicing law for more than 20 years. He was admitted to practice law in Maine in 1978 and was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1990. Alan Eisenberg began his practice almost 40 years ago in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From the start Eisenberg has been controversial fighting for many civil rights causes. He handles criminal, family law, and juvenile court cases.
The legacy of Alan D. Eisenberg has been a legacy of controversy. His case scrapbook is an eclectic mix of the Accused: The Famous, the Notorious, the Heinous, the Indigent, the Rich, Doctors, Lawyers, Merchants, Indian Chiefs, and several local prominent television broadcasters!
Prior to 1988, Eisenberg had been the subject of numerous media pieces and cover stories. Wisconsin Monthly called him a "mean, tough, flamboyant gun for hire"; The Racine Journal Times called him the "King of the Hired Guns"; The Minneapolis Tribune compared him to Perry Mason; the National Law Journal said, "He is the best-known and most controversial lawyer in Wisconsin", and Auto Week described him as a "notoriously brutal scrapper whose aggressive and dramatic courtroom tactics in a steady succession of highly visible criminal cases -- more than 500 involving homicide -- have elicited comparisons to Clarence Darrow and other legendary barristers"; New Times Magazine in a 1978 article described him as a "short, dark tempest of a man combining the moral outrage of William Kunstler, the flamboyance of F. Lee Bailey, and the jive class of a street tough"; Stephen Englund wrote a book called Man Slaughter about his brilliant defense of a battered housewife charged with murder and described him as a ‘dogged infighter’ to whom ‘everything is the Battle of the Marne’; the same case was the subject of full page articles in the law and justice sections of Time and Newsweek. Town and Country Magazine commissioned Harvard Professor Alan Dershowitz to publish a list of the best lawyers in America; he named Eisenberg to the list.
Today, Eisenberg maintains what is called a National Law Practice and handles matters annually in at least 20 states.
