3. Obtain a copy of his CV (cirriculum vitae). Where did he get his law degree what special achievements? What certifications?
   
   
   
4. Does he specialize in cases like yours? (Avoid generalists.)
   
   
   
5. What is his work history? (Has he been stable?)
   
   
   
6. Can he offer you a PLAN on your first contact with him?
   
   
   
7. If you are falsely accused and the lawyer says "let's wait and see what they do" do NOT hire that attorney, keep looking. If they don't already KNOW what "they" are going to do, you don't want to pay for his on the job training to find out!
   
   
   
8. Ask for references. Usually about 5 current and past clients. How well has he done?
